what UK activity holiday would my teenage kids enjoy?
I'm 60 and I have two teenage (16) kids. We have been on camping holidays before but entertaining them is hard work. I'd like to find somewhere in the UK that they can do some sort of activity during the day, while I enjoy the scenery and sights with my partner.
Grateful for any suggestions

As they are 16 you could try "Go Ape" if they are at all adventurous, the only draw back is that they would have to have someone who is 18 or over to supervise them whilst they are doing it...are you and your partner game for it too...I would be and I am your age!
Failing that, you could always ask them what they are interested in doing as all youngsters have different ideas on being kept "entertained"

Hiring a boat on The Inland Waterways would be ideal. It's not cheap but you will all be entertained. You spend the day chugging through the countryside at 4 mph. You go through the "back entrances" to towns and admire the gardens.
The teenagers will love working the locks and swing bridges. You may even go through some dark tunnels. They will love steering the boat too (It's fun. You may all have to take turns).
You can eat on board or stop at canalside pubs. You can moor overnight in the middle of the countryside, miles from any habitation.
If you travel up the Welsh Canal to Llangollen, you cross a couple of spectacular aqueducts. You could also do "The Four Counties" ring. It's reasonably easy to cover in a week. You mainly use the Shropshire Union Canal and Trent & Mersey canal to make a big circuit. There are plenty of locks on the Trent & Mersey and there is the 2880 yard Harecastle Tunnel!
Once you do it, you will be hooked. Here's a few links to get you started.

He has 3 each and every week. Karate classification Monday 6:30 - 7:30 Beaver Scouts Wednesday 6:00 - 7:30 Swimming Lesson Friday 4:00 - 5:00 i do unlike Beavers being at that element because i don't get dwelling house from artwork till 5:40, so I would desire to get in, grab him and bustle him precise out the door. i don't sense like I see him on Wednesdays, yet he loves all 3 of his communities and he would not desire to furnish any of them up. they're all interior of 10 minutes walk of the dwelling house although so this is all hassle-free. We stay at swimming and Karate, yet we drop him at Beavers on his very own and are available dwelling house for an hour.

when my son was 16 and my daughter 15, we went to Cornwall ... we stayed in Porthcurno and I booked them both into a one week surfing course ... the guy arrived every morning, took the pair of them away, they surfed, and when there was no surf they jumped off cliffs into the sea and many other adrenalin adventures ... he delivered them back late afternoon tired and happy ... and I had all day to enjoy peace and quiet, and stroll along the coastal path ... bliss all round
you can get surfing holidays in west Wales too
