I wouldn't reccommend a spray on tan. Spray on tans don't tan your skin, they just stain it and it makes you feel gross and greasy!

I think it would be a good idea to go to a tanning bed. Be sure to use indoor tanning lotion each visit and go every other day for at least a month before your holiday and you will be really dark before you know it! However, if you don't tan well in the sun, chances are it will be difficult to tan at the tanning bed.

    Hope I helped!!

  • Spray tan will only last 5 days and that is if they even do it right...I would either lay out or tan indoors in a bed for 2 weeks, you will have a great tan then...That is what i did when it kept raining in Florida last year for a week and i was scheduled to go on vacation, i went to the salon and when i got up to Boston, All my old friends said You have a great tan! I have been doing tanning beds since i was 19 and i am now almost 38 and no cancer...so in my opinion, it's safe as long as you protect yourself

No. You might look more beachy, but a) a fake tan won't protect your skin from burning b) your boyfriend is already with your pasty whiteness, is he not? It must be somewhat ok with him.

The better route would be to go to a tanning salon and get a few sessions in the tanning bed a couple weeks before you leave. Often, us pasty white girls burn when we're under a sun that shines differently than where we live. It won't just stop you from burning as easily, it'll help you tan better while you're there. Like sort of a head start when you're there.

Remember, you can still tan a bit with sunblock. And sunblock is super super important. It's better to be that pasty white woman in her 40's with the teenager's smooth skin than the 40 year old orange face with premature wrinkles, no?

I'd say definitely no. Pale is the new tan ;D

Just go to the beach for a while, and get a base tan before you see your boyfriend. Make sure you wear plenty of tanning oil with protection from the suns harmful rays, or your tan will end up a burn.

I wouldn't get a fake tan. A friend of mine recently got a fake tan and came to school looking like an ombalumba! You way be pale but if you are going somewhere tropical then you will get a tan if you wear spf 4 (tanning oil)

Well if your going on holiday anyway, why not wait and get a tan whilst your there. Whats the point in paying for a tan, when you can just get a natural one when you go?

If i were you i would probably get the spray tan done but id ask that they do it really natural and quite light since you feel so nervous about how it would turn out. This way it looks more natural :)

Don't get a fake tan, just lay outside for a few hours (if you're somewhere sunny) beforehand to get a base tan. Also, even if you do look white, you're probably not the only one!

You could try getting a tinted moisturizer, that's what I'm going to try out this year because I'm whiter than a ghost!

Source(s): I've heard by lots of people recomending it so...

Yes, after all, you wouldn't want to look like the white person you are, would you?
