What are some other going away ideas other than bubbles and rice?
I am planning a September wedding in Puerto Rico and I was wondering if you had any other ideas for what the guests can do besides throw rice or blow bubbles or ring bells. Thanks so much!
I grew up in Puerto Rico and the wedding is at my parents house

Pull string poppers is a fun ideas. You can get them wholesale at Oriental trading company.
Another fun idea is ribbons or confetti. Ribbon float down slowly and look really pretty in pictures. It sounds messy but maybe sand? i don't know about that one though....

Have guests throw flower petals using wild flowers of Puerto Rico – mostly amapolas, but also flamboyán flowers, and margaritas. Puerto Rico has over 50 native orchid species to use also. Fans are also customary for Puerto Rican weddings, you can use fans of all different colors as your favors and have the guests 'fan' them in the air as you walk out.
Good Luck!

They could throw dried lavender or other flowers, wave sparklers, or take pictures like paparazzi (all the flashes would be beautiful). I don't know what kind of trees you have in Puerto Rico, but I love it at fall weddings when people throw beautiful colored leaves at the couple. Good luck!

Birdseed or butterflies. You need to check with the venue to see what they allow; many places don't allow rice or seeds because they are afraid someone will slip on them and they'll get sued.
