My friend has low confidence because she thinks she's ugly. How can I help her?

I highly doubt that is your friend. You look fine, I would say normal. You are not ugly.

I'm not sure how to help her. She doesn't look ugly to me. I never really liked the way I looked when I was in high school, 9th grade year was the worst for me. The thing that has helped the most is my boyfriend. He thinks I'm beautiful and he really means it..If she complains about being fat than maybe suggest that the two of you go for runs together or do some sort of exercises to help her lose some weight and feel better about herself. I wish I had more suggestions then that for you, I wish you luck!

I personally don't think your friend is fat. Now if she starts talking about her weight, or if she says she's ugly, try to change the subject. If you can't, try to walk away, cause she shouldn't worry about it. Now for her self confidence, does she have a boyfriend? if so, you could say "see, he's not your boyfriend just because he was dared to. He is because he thinks you're pretty and not fat." if she doesn't have a boyfriend, say something like "it doesn't matter how you look. People like you for who you are. If she still isn't happy, maybe keep telling her that she's not fat, she's pretty (i really think she is.) and people like you for who you are, not by the way you look. Well, I wouldn't say she has anything to worry about. Looks like an average, normal young woman to me! Certainly not hideously fat or ugly.

Show her a picture of Carrie from Sex in the City. That is a truly unattractive woman who seems to be thought of as a stunner by some people. If Carrie can get by, your friend has no problems!

Well she looks gorg... but I too have a friend who is unbelievably pretty but becos of the people in her life, mainly her mom she thinks shes fat and ugly... try to get to the root of her issue and work from there... gd luck

she isnt ugly and i think whenever she says she is you should tell her she isnt.
