Do you have the old manifold off? If you have a 360/390 engine your battle is 90% over. Are you using a new manifold or a used one? If you are using a used one, take it to a machine shop and have it trued up. ALWAYS use new bolts when installing exhaust manifolds on these engines. Use never-seize on the bolts. Make sure you clean the gasket from the head. It needs to be very clean. Use new gaskets with no sealer. If your manifold is straight and your head is clean, it will be just fine.

The two studs are the flange bolts. If the threads are good there, just use new nuts.
