Lip piercings. How bad do they hurt and how do they stay in?
I might be getting mine done. Just a teeny tiny stud. But how do they stay in? is there a back on them? And how bad does it hurt? Worse than your ear lobe im guessing but by how much? I'm not one that's good with pain. Thanks!

They do not hurt at all, i had a monroe and it was basically painless. Just a tiny pinch, and the second the needle got through the other side of my lip i didn't feel a thing. And the studs have a flat plate as a backing, then the stick, rod, whatever you want to call it, and the ball that screws onto the end. If you don't understand what i mean, just go to hottopic.com and look at the labret studs, that's what would be in your lip. Oh, and most people will say they hurt more than a regular ear lobe piercing, but in my own opinion, i think the lip piercing actually hurts less. but everyone is different and it depends on your pain tolerance. but no matter what your pain tolerance is, i don't think a lip piercing would even be painful at all.

I just recently pierced my lip by myself. On a scale of 1-10 (1 being the least painful, 10 being the most) i would give it a 7. If you go it done professionally it would only be a 5-6. If you are just putting in a little stud, they have little flat, circular backs that screw on to the bar that goes threw your lip. If you are not good with pain, i wouldn't recommend it to you, but it only hurts when you first get it done but after wards i felt no pain. Hope i helped :)
