Why do people ( or is it teeny-bopper girls) keep voting for bad singers on Amer. Idol -- such as Tim Urban?

First of all great question and I've often wondered the same thing too before as much more deserving and hard working singers often get passed over because of the stupidity of these little teenage girls and their silly crushes not doing the right thing and voting for the best singers. This isn't meant to be a popularity contest but for recognizing talent. Big Mike is easily one of the top 4-5 singers of this group and he has the least amount of votes? I watched this tonight with my beautiful wife and we were both enraged to say the least. At least the judges did the right thing by allowing Big Mike to stay. Tim Urban is a nice guy and would do well singing as a lounge or a wedding singer perhaps but not as a big time star and I cannot believe that these dizzy little chicks cannot see this. Tim should have already been gone in my opinion but here he is week after week and it's sickening to be honest with you. Now there will be two gone this coming week and I hope for God's sake that Tim Urban is one of them.

I'm not watching AI this season, but normally girls just vote for the hottest guy or whatever. They don't care about his singing talent at all.

they dont know any better. when i left high school i realized a lot of the music i was listening to was crap. if they dont get it then they are lost causes and will be the second breed of fans for crap music.

They all vote for the one they have a crush on. It annoys me.
