does either Qwest or verizon have pre paid minute cards for there phones?

i bought a cell phone off my friend tonight and it's real nice and i would like to keep it but if i can avoid monthly bills it would be nice any ideas?

    I believe with Verizon, you will need to go through them either way since there is no SIM card and you need a service so it would have to go through Verizon. Hope this helps
