Remove this if you do not plan to use it:
<p class="text"> </p>
It's right after:
<div class="link">

this white line is being caused by the html element <p class="text">.
remove this line from your source and the ending tag </p> as well and you should be fine.

You cannot. It is part of the web page, and therefore cannot be changed by you.
