Do you care for the name Hukar?

My wife and I are having twins and trying to decide on a girl's name.

Update:

Jessica, thanks for the well thought out and detailed answer. Well done my dear, well done.

Update 2:

Bluepine: Then the boys will pay extra attention to her?

Update 3:

Jessica: Someone should be following you around with an I.V. full of happy serum. What ever you're on, consider taking half.

Update 4:

Ever: So it's a NOOO name like the word new only spelled in ghost language or is that an emphatic NO?!

Update 5:

Zoey: So you like the name?

Update 6:

Somebody: You're breaking my heart, because you're nobody 'til "Somebody" loves you...

Update 7:

Divo: Point well taken. You won't have to go to high school with that name.

Update 8:

Hazel: Thanks for the kind words. Maybe you could give Jessica some constructive criticism in an effort to leave more tactful feeback.

I don't care for it, especially not for a girl. It just doesn't seem very feminine to me and yes, it does sound like hooker or hookah, neither of which are particularly attractive. I wouldn't want to go to high school if that was my name!

I don't like this name, sorry. What about something more feminine for your daughter? Hukar, if this is a name, sounds more boyish. Congrats on the twins :)

  • At first I actually kinda liked the name. Is it pron.'d hoo-KARR? It reminds me of a lady I know named Hadar (huh-DAR) which is like Hebrew for "Glory; Majesty". But earlier someone said it reminded them of hooker so now that's like in the back of my mind. But I still think it's pretty neat. "Hukari" I like, too.

    HTH, congrats

It's not my style sorry. It sounds a little more like a male name to me. If you like it then you can use it but I wouldn't reccomend it. Do you like Hannah? That's sort of similar.
