Will this wipe the hard drive?
I was having some problems with a laptop I'm planning to sell so I uninstalled the OS (XP) and reinstalled it. Did reinstalling the OS wipe the hard drive?
I did delete the partition that was there. Thanks though, that all I needed to find out. I was hoping it would wipe it because I had some personal data on there, like credit card numbers. You get best answer when it lets me chose.

It depends did you edit any of the partitons? If you did then you wiped it. Dont forget the OS isnt your hard drive so its like installing the sims and uninstalling it. You should be fine as long as you dont resize the partitions.
