Need transmission help! 99 Cobra t-45 manual will not go into gear when I depress the clutch pedal.?
When I shift fast it is hard to get it into the gears but today under normal driving conditions I was having a hard time shifting into gears. By the time I got home, 30 miles, I was not able to put it into first gear at the stop light. The clutch does not slip when it is in gear. Is it my clutch cable? or bent shift fork?

Had same problem on my Mustang. You have a stretched clutch cable. Have it replaced and you are set to go. Otherwise, take it to a mechanic or dealer and they will pull your tranny and replace a few things and charge you hundreds, when in fact it is your cable.

sounds like the clutch needs adjusted. sounds like the clutch is still turning when you push the clutch in. when the clutch is turning then the gears in the transmission is turning too.
