How to install xp on vista please help me?

Recently i have installed windows vista.but it take more space so i want to change it into xp again

so when i insert XP CD into it ,it says .windows xp cannot install in your computer because it is older version then vista.what to do i am daying really please help me out of this problems

    Hello what you will have to do is completely wipe the drive with a program like this http://www.dban.org/its free after you wipe the drive then try installing but make sure you backed up your files you want to save good luck!!!!!!!

    Boot from the XP CD. Choose Repair. Delete the Windows directory from the hard drive. You'll have to delete all files from all the directories in that one first, then those directories, etc. Booting a Linux Live CD would be easier. Then you can install XP.

    DO NOT use DBAN! If you use it wrong, the drive becomes unusable, which is one of the things it's used for.

    If you did an upgrade to vista then you should be able to remove the update and revert back to your original OS.

    If it was a clean install then boot from your DVD drive with the XP disc in and over write the Vista OS

    You need to boot to the disc and install that way. You can't install from the desktop.
