Now an emerging societal cold war is emerging bet. the west and islam.Partly due to secular and religious values, rivalry, resentments over western domination of the post-colonial structuring of the middle east and bitterness and humiliations of the insidious comparison bet. the accomplishments  of islamic and western civilizations in the last two centuries.Problem that has torn humans asunder since time immemorial. Theologians theorizes that the cause is our decision to be captain of our own faith.Some economists peddle the idea that the cause is the pursuit of profit(greed the driving force). Some political scientists opine that it is cause by the overriding agenda of states to rule the world regardless of consequences. Some others say that the cause is ignorance like what happened during the inquisition many were convicted by the dumb, love of the material and doubt of the spiritual(war bet.God of grace and God of gold) and last but not the least prejudice like the color of the skin.

to some extent I agree. the proper tragedy is to waste now. that is tragic that tens of millions of human beings born right into a age of outstanding freedom & wealth who imagine themselves imprisoned and detrimental. Tragedy isn't failure contained in the face of impossibility, yet to have myriad possibilities and shortage the prefer to snatch them. Disunity is a tragedy. Though I would not say the greatest one. If religion was abolished worldwide then people would find something else to fight about. It's in our nature.
