Need the name of a pharmaceutical?

I just recently visited Costa Rica on a surfing trip. I ended up getting a pretty substantial case of swimmer's ear and had to make a stop off at the local pharmacy. The pharmacist was very helpful and gave me a bottle of drops and a handful of painkillers. I did not bring the drugs back with me and I managed to forget the names of both. After a little internet research, I'm fairly certain the drops were Otoseptil, but I'm at a loss for the name of the painkillers... They were white, came in a blister pack and went by some 3 or 4 letter name (no, not OXY), and definitely weren't just Tylenol... Anyone have any idea what it was I was taking?

It is impossible to know what the medication was. Vast numbers of pills, especially many pain killers, are white, out side of The US and Canada almost all medications come in blister packs, and it is unlikely the name was 3-4 letters that is not enough for a brand name or a generic. Could it have been APAP? That is Tylenol which is often mixed with another drug. Was it something like DHC? And it is certainly possible what you go there is not available in The US. And brand, even generic names differ between countries. For example in The US and Canada Tylenol is a brand name for acetaminophen. In all other countries acetaminophen is called paracetamol and dozens of brand names exist. Do you remember any of the name (probably an abbreviation)?

You probably got codeine or dihydrocodeine (DHC).
