I recall seeing some episodes with a well known actor-can't recall his name-he was a vicious serial killer. In the end he actually forced Hotch and his wife, by phone, to choose who lives, her or his son, she made the decision and gave her life, making Hotch vow to care for their child.  Where can I get more info on this killer, who played him and perhaps even watch those episodes?????

The episode in which Haley is killed is the 100th episode. Appropriately titled, '100'.
 
The killer is George Foyet. Otherwise known as The Reaper.
 
He is portrayed by C. Thomas Howell.
