How do I get soap taste out of a plastic water bottle?

I bought a plastic sports water bottle and washed it before using it, and now I can't get the soap taste out of it.

    You can try rinsing the bottles out with white vinegar. That might remove the soap taste. But it's also possible that nothing will remove that taste. Plastic absorbs tastes and odors. The taste might be permanent.

    Rinse, rinse, rinse with HOT water.
