This would be a very good question for your VET!

Prednisone is very rough on them. That is not a type of medication to guess on. It has to be taken in cycles and the dog has to get weened off it. This is very important to discuss with a vet. The vet will tell you how much and how frequently. Like I said, they have to get weened off of it. It is VERY IMPORTANT! They can have seizures and cause their hormones to get wacky.

None unless it is prescribed by a vet. What is it you want to give this puppy a steroid for. To build up muscles?

You need to ask your vet...the dose varies on the reason its being given. Also you can't just stop and start a steriod...once given the dose must be tapered off slowing so please talk to your vet instead of trying to prescribe meds yourself.

ask your vet, not a chat board...duh.

Please just call your vet and check. They know the dosages.

Source(s): I own 3 dogs and would never administer anything to my animals until I checked it out with my vet.
