Second Hole Piercing question?
So i got my second holes done on Tuesday. It is now thursday and when i go to clean them and i push them pack and forth it sorta hurts. is this normal? because it is only a couple days old? and after i clean them it itches is that alright? is it norma? i'm just so worried i'm gonna get an infection and it will ruin my 1st hole!!! Someone please help? I am a hypochondriac so that may be it but i'm still kinda nervous!
Oh and washing your hair with shampoo won't do anything will it? i'm afraid that if i get the soap in my ears will get infected!
Thanks alot!

That's completely normal. What is NOT normal is excessive itching, green pus coming out, and if they're swollen a ton. Mine hurt for 3 weeks after I got mine done. And yes, you can shampoo and everything still, just remember to clean them with solution after you get out of the shower. (I went to claire's and they gave me a solution that came with the piercing.) You have to clean the piercing 2-3 times a day for 2 months. Don't spin the earrings, just move them back and forth. And I don't think any infection will ruin your 1st hole. Just do not take the earrings out for 6 months. I took mine out for 3 days and the hole closed with pus inside and so I had to repierce it myself by shoving the earring through my ears. THAT hurts. You don't want that.
Haha sorry I answered a lotttt but to go back to your original question: you're fine!

It is probably a bit sore the first few days. When your skin heals, it itches. Don't clean with alcohol, try cleaning it with warm water and sea salt.
Source(s): I have 16 piercings- none of which ever got infected.
