If US gave Haiti 1.15 billion dollars, how much do u think US will give to China for Qinghai earthquake?

i AM aware that US already owes china a trillion dollars.

Update:

Michael, does US really owe Haiti 1.15 billion dollars when we have so much poverty within our country and millions without health insurance and so much debt?

Update 2:

i constantly donate my wardrobe to the local churches here in the US and i'm an atheist! And i don't include that donation in my tax! They even accepted my underwears because they think it's baby's underwear because they do accept baby's underwear.

i'm not ''comparing'' or ''whining'', it's just a question!

actually i think it would be funny if say, US donate China 10 million dollars for earthquake when US stills owes China a trillion dollars?

Update 3:

Brad: you are ''stalker of the month'', here is a plaque.

According to Chinese media reports, the Chinese government has politely declined all foreign aid with regard to the Qinghai earthquake. While the calamity in Qinghai is terrible, it is readily manageable with domestic resources. The scale of the Qinghai quake, in terms of the number of people impacted, is small by comparison to the 2008 Sichuan and 2010 Haiti earthquakes.

America means well, but it has no money. Any funds that America might wish to donate to a foreign disaster would have to be borrowed. The American government has a US$1.5 trillion deficit for 2010 and over US$12 trillion in total debt.

If you would like to personally contribute to earthquake aid for the victims in Qinghai, then please go this article:

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/04/14/china-ear...

It includes many links to many organizations that are already established in China.

As far as historical records goes, both the United States and China gave generously to the Haiti relief efforts. The US was also generous in 2008 when Sichuan was struck with a devastating earthquake.

Should we really be so concerned about "who gives how much?" Isn't it about the heart and not the amount?

There is a story in the Bible about a woman who literally gave only two cents to an offering. She was criticized for giving so little. However, the reply was that she gave much more than anyone else because she gave all that she had.

    Don't worry about the numbers.

    Peace.

the priority is while throwing money to motives devoid of definitely seeing the place it is going by no potential works. Haiti's government has been corrupt for years, they took the money fairly of installation some courses the place human beings can discover ways to produce for themselves. Even those concert events that celebrities have definitely do extra harm than solid. some months in the past, I observed 2 attorneys from between the undesirable African international places (forget which one) pleaded with us to not deliver money and the nutrition that we despatched replace into offered via the government to those that could desire to handle to pay for to purchase a litte. we could desire to consistently see that those human beings get the on the spot help that they like, yet we extra proper oversee it or it relatively is going to be an excercise in futility.

Be happy for whatever you get and don't whine.

If you are really in desperate need and have a fund crunch to handle the relief operations in that case you can quote your requirement and donations will surely come. There is no crunch of good samaritans who rise to the occasion.

Whining and comparing your country's misfortune with that of another, just for the sake of soliciting aid looks utterly cheap.

  • I don't know, depends if China asks for help.

Maybe about as much money as Chinese sent to the USA or Mexico for the Baja or Eureka earthquakes, but this is not the timet to be scoring points.

All lost of life is bad, in this case the earthquake was away from a major populated area.

Also you have to compare demographies.

Haiti is much poor than China in gross GDP and GDP capita.

China has a more manpower than Hati for national emegeries.

It has to be pointed out that USA and other Western countries pay the majority of development aid that China has gotten down the years.

The US also sent a troop ther eto Haiti, right? Do you anticipate China would accepte the same "offer"?

This is a serious question and deserves a serious answer.

I always like questions by "serious asker and answerer" no matter by what name they go on Yahoo Answers; be it "no bias no bull' or "giggle at google" or whatever.

Craftylady above has already covered the point that I wished to say and she said it very beautifully. She also has a link where you can offer contributions.

It's time that you stopped buying any more porn and instead donated the money for the cause of earthquake victims.

  • Uh, that's funny you should ask. Nothing, China will own most of the US in the near future anyway. Did you know many compaines are sending American employees to China to train them? Companies like shell oil.

US has no money, but probably will give other form of help by sending helicopters, rescue troops and giving medicine and food supplies.

    "no bias no bull"

But now you seem to sound "all bias all bull"

US will assess the seriousness of the earthquake, determine the potential areas where they can offer help and do accordingly.

Haiti was a different case altogether. Thousands of aid worker from US worked there in the rescue mission and saving the lives of victims. China on the other hand is pathetic in the sense that they accept aid only in material and cash. They don't allow any aid workers from foreign countries to work in the rescue mission.

No bias no bull, but did you know that how aid given during Sichuan Earthquake was misappropriated and embezzled by CCP.

Get your house in order before making a comparison between Haiti and China. If you can't use aid money responsibly and for the cause it has been donated; stop whining about the amount of aid you will get.

I think US is doing a great service already by offering employment to plain bull and arrogant girl like you.

I'm not sure how much the US will be able to give. I think the US citizens are slowly running out of the financial ability to contribute anything to world relief. Due to the CCP's continued persecution, slander, and aspirations of world dominance, we may soon lose the ability to be kind at all. What a sad world it will be if that should happen. When the generosity of America is gone, will the CCP ever pick up the full responsibility for that which they have tried so hard to destroy, or will they simply continue blaming us for their self-inflicted troubles and march forward in usurping territory around the world?
