If I have to retire on disability?
My health is going down hill from arthritis's. Will I have any health insurance? Please help I need all the information I can get!

You can ask your doctor to sign you off on Disability from your job for up to a year I believe. Meanwhile you can file for Soc. Sec. benefits but that process can take several months or several years. I am not sure if you get Medicaid because you have State Disability. Arthritis does not get better. I know. You must exercise and keep weight down. Water aerobics is best and some anti-inflammatory medications.

You will qualify for medicare 2 years after you start receiving benefits. During that waiting period,you might be eligible for medicaid depending on your income.
