84 crores of Indians earn 20 rs per day is it necessary for space research?

It is not fair when 84 crores Indians earn less than 20 rupees per day. You can even send missions successfully to Mars too by begging billions of loan from all other countries, world bank etc. Before that you should provide a minimum guaranteed life to poor Indians. It is not good for wasting tax payers money in many ways (Yesterday's failure mission) when 84 crore indian are begging for one time food.

Offcourse it is necessary for the future mankind and out earth and also it represents India, its a pride for the nation.

1 Million percent i agree that 84 Crore Indians are earning Rs. 20 per day.According to the Amercian Standard ,80% of the Indian population are below poverty Line.

What is the fastest growing industry in India?

IT, IPL, MEDICAL, TELECOM, BPO, BOLLYWOOD..ETC?Guess it..!

Its THE word called HUNGRY,hungry is the fastest growing thing in India.

Space Research is 100% necessary but what about the money spend on this silly sport called Cricket and corny bollywood? The money spend on space research is nothing when you compare to money spend on cricket.

I think BCCI has more money than this organization.

Cricket has nothing to do with India, it brings pride only in front of Pakistan. Nobody watch cricket out side India. 1.2 billion people watch cricket, unfortunately 1.1 billion are poor Indians. The government must give attention to other sports also.

Also the government must stop distribuiting awards to stupid bollywood stars & Criceters, instead they must help the poor with that money.

At the end of the day, it is fair when government spend money on space research but it isnt fair when government spend loads of money on silly cricket, bollywood & other things.

    Cricket & Bollywood sucks.

Research is necessary but not like this. Cryogenic engine was invented and used by other countries long ago. We are researching it for more than 17 long years and wasting thousands of crores rupees. Light combat aircraft is under research from 1983 and so far 13000 crores spent. (The Hindu dated 16.04.10). If you are inventing a new technology then spending is justified but researching a product already available in the market is unwarranted.
