Im a 30yr old guy traveling with friends and need some help regarding panama city, panama. nightlife scene.?

What I need to know is basic info on night clubs in panama city panama (not florida), and NO i am not taking about clubs or bars infested with hookers!!! Just out to dance and meet cool people, locals or travelers. Like what is the typical dress code for a nice club? dress shoes, sneakers or flip flops? dress pants, jeans or board shorts? Can I get in to a nice club with a tee, board shorts and flip flops? or should I just pack a little of both? I will be there for 5 nights, should i leave the city? or should i just stay and party there every night at a different club? Also what is the average I should plan on spending nightly on such things as beers, club door fee and food? I know I asked a lot question, but this web site has helped out a lot in the past with my other travels. I've been to mexico, costa rica, argentina and brazil before and this has helped out a lot and has made my traveling experience a great time. So any help i can get, would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advanced!!!!

In Panama City only tourists wear shorts. It is ok to wear jeans but not flip flops at night.

PC has two zones for night life. The best is Calle Uruguay between Calle 50 and Ave. Balboa.

Just walk that street at 11:00 p.m. and listen and watch. You'll catch on.

The other zone is out on the Amador Causeway. It is a street that has been set up just for partying it has about 15 different clubs each one playing different music. You can stand around in the Rumba Zone for free and listen and watch and follow your bliss.

There are a lot of beautiful women here and they will ignore you if you look like a tourista. Wear your tee during the day and shorts when in athletic or beach scenes.

This is a Latin country and the real partying doesn't begin until after midnight.

    Have fun!

I've been to Panama City, Panama, and I have fair skin, red hair, and blue eyes, and I'm young. It's pretty safe, and I don't think you have to worry about such extreme things as kidnapping or robbery. The unwanted attention you get is for looking exotic compared to the native population. You would get that kind of attention almost anywhere you might vacation. I think the most that might happen is that people will stare at you, and someone may even whistle at you. Just use common sense when you are walking around. Try to use the buddy system, and don't walk alone at night in strange alleys.
