What do I do when my puppy hates water?
When I take her to the beach, she sticks out her claws and refuses to go inthe water. When I give her baths, wet her with the hose, anything to do with alot of water she runs away as fast and as far as possible. LOL. I really want her to stop being so scared and enjoy water like most dogs! any ideas?

Not all breeds like water
Not all dog breeds swim
Not all dogs like baths and most don't
Not all dogs like to be sprayed with cold water from a hose
It could be the way in which you have introduced the pup to the above mentioned. If you do not make each new event a positive one then you are setting yourself and pup up for failure.
Pups are learning all the time and if not introduced properly her fears will continue.
Spraying a pup with a hose may be fun for you but think if you are causing undo harm and fear to the pup for your own enjoyment.

Ignore the dog when it is scared because if you try to Comfort it, then the dog will realise there is something to be scared of.
Either go into the water and wait it out to see if the dog comes or carry the dog into the water (shallow water) they place it in the water in a calmly without any struggle or panic. repeat this
You could really do with another dog to show your dog that it does not have to fear water.

try and get him comfortable with small amounts of water first and try and turn it into a game. If you just throw water at her it might make her more afraid of it which could stay with her for years. My dog hated water when she was a puppy but as long as you get them used to it slowly they should get over it soon enough.
