This section has been dead lately. Let's liven it up a little. Survey, anyone?
1. We're about ten games into the season. How's your team been? Better than expected? Worse? Just about what you thought?
2. Houston fans- my condolences. But it's early. Where do you think you'll end up? And for those who aren't Astros fans, where do you think they'll end up anyway?
3. On a scale of 1-10, 1 being "not at all" and 10 being "bashing head against wall", how awful are rain delays?
4. Umpires have been making the news lately, and not for good things. How do you feel? Personally, I haven't run into trouble. Yet.
5. Are there any major changes within your team? How are they affecting you? (For example, a major change in the Phillies organization would be Halladay. The Rangers converted C.J. Wilson from a closer to a starter and lost Millwood. Curtis Granderson is with the Yankees and Matsui is with the Halos, etc.)
6. Thus far into the season, ______________ has not been producing, _________________ has been phenomenal, and ________________ needs to get off of the freaking DL.
7. It's raining hard. The groundscrew gets the tarp out. You know there is little chance of the game getting played. Do you go tarp sliding?
8. Have you ever been to Spring Training, either in Arizona or Florida? If so, how great was it? I loved it, but maybe it wasn't your cup of tea.
9. If you had the opportunity to ask your manager one question, what would he question be?

1. I didn't think the pitching could be worse than I anticipated. Our starting pitching has been shaky, but I had no idea that our Bullpen would lose 5 of our six losses in the 8th or 9th inning. Our hitting has been great, better than I expected and I expected a lot.
2. I feel bad for Houston, I'm whining about my Brewers, but their fans are really having a tough time. I don't know if they can pull through this. Their issues have been brought up front and unless the guys start turning around I'm looking at a losing season for them. Hitting 73 wins at best, but I do hope the best for them, even though the Brewers are in the same division.
3. haven't haven't had any yet (retractible roof) but I hate them-so a 10
4. You know, empires are part of the game too. But they need to draw the line on what they say. It's okay to have an opinion, but if they must voice it, they need to be very careful with their words.
5. Not too much. Just exchanging bad pitching for bad pitching in the offseason. The Brewers had the worst ERA in all of the Major League last season, and it appears they want to hold onto that title.
6. Thus far into the season, Trevor Hoffman and Latroy Hawkins has not been producing, Casey McGehee, Rickie Weeks and Ryan Braun have been phenomenal, and we are DL free or good players, wish some of the bad players would go on it. LOL
7. OMG that sounds like fun!
8. No, I wish. Brewers are in Arizona and someday this is my dream.
9. Do you cringe every time a relief pitcher takes the mound? (And then a statement) Because it's amazing that starting pitching could even have a lead.
BQ: Kids, adults-people who think it's fun to attack people. Some are harmless, and even funny, but some are mean. I don't really know what goes on in their minds.

1. We're about ten games into the season. How's your team been? Better than expected? Worse? Just about what you thought? -Better than excpected, they've done well, except when we lost the series against Seattle, bad performance there
2. Houston fans- my condolences. But it's early. Where do you think you'll end up? And for those who aren't Astros fans, where do you think they'll end up anyway? -I think last place maybe, or 4th
3. On a scale of 1-10, 1 being "not at all" and 10 being "bashing head against wall", how awful are rain delays? -10!!! hate them!!!!
4. Umpires have been making the news lately, and not for good things. How do you feel? Personally, I haven't run into trouble. Yet. -Sometimes I think they're biased, and it's quite annoying, and tends to be quite a few horrible calls too
5. Are there any major changes within your team? How are they affecting you? (For example, a major change in the Phillies organization would be Halladay. The Rangers converted C.J. 1. At 4-5, the Dodgers are below expectations, but I expect them to pick it up this weekend against the rival Giants.
2. I think the Astros will finish in 4th in their division, behind the Cards, Cubs, and Brewers.
3. 8, sometimes I hate rain delays, but sometimes they're good in afternoon games because they get out of rain delay when I get home from school.
4. I don't mind, the umpires are doing they're best, and I've umpired some Little League games, and it's hard being put on the spot to make calls like that.
5. Not much for the Dodgers, we added Jamey Carroll as a utility man, and Garrett Anderson has been a pleasant suprise off the bench.
6. Thus far in the season, Blake DeWitt has not been producing, Matt Kemp has been phenomenal, and Hong-Chih Kuo needs to get off the freaking DL.
7. LOL, probably not.
8. I went to Arizona once, and I had fun.
9. Why in the world does Jeff Weaver pitch every game?
BQ: No idea

1. Hmm, in some ways better than expected. Pitching hasn't been there so much except from Beckett & Lackey. The defense has not been good. In the game going on right now Beckett's given up 4 hits, though it should be just 2 because the other ones were misplayed, and one run, but unearned due to an error. I just haven't seen much of the whole "pitching & defense" thing yet that was all the rage during the off-season. Their bats have been terrific at some times, but dead at other times. So everything's very iffy and I don't really know what to expect each game.. but hopefully things will change soon.
2. I hope they start playing better, I never like to see any team do that terribly (except for maybe the Yankees =P lol). Also former Red Sox bench coach Brad Mills is their new manager and he's a good guy, I want to see him do well. I don't think things will get much better as the season progresses though. Maybe they won't end up the worst record at the end of the year but I hardly think they'll suddenly turn around and make a run for the division title.
3. If they're long, then like maybe a 7.
4. I thought Joe West's comments were stupid and I disagreed with them. But the umping hasn't been terrible though I have seen some very badly called third strikes.
5. Yep. New 3rd basemen, new shortstop (though that's hardly a major change, they've definitely had their share of new shortstops the last 5 years), new starting pitcher, new outfielder.. and Jacoby Ellsbury moved to left. Biggest change probably Cameron, because their slugger Bay is gone.
6. Thus far into the season, David Ortiz has not been producing, Dustin Pedroia has been phenomenal, and Dice-K Matsuzaka needs to get off the freaking DL (though he's been pitching in the minors and doing well... a hopeful sign.)
7. Haha I never have but that'd be fun! =P
8. No, I wish, that'd be awesome. Hopefully in the next couple of years. My mom and sister aren't that into baseball but I'm sure they wouldn't mind going to Florida for spring break. =)
9. Hmm.. so many things to ask! I think what I really want to know though, is who really wins those cribbage games between him and Pedroia? Both of them claim they kick the other's butt. I'd like to finally know the truth =)
BQ: So many =/ As the season progresses maybe they'll go away.. wishful thinking.
Great survey =) Interesting questions!

1. The Sox aren't doing great now but they will rise to the top of the AL east
2. Neither team remotely compare to the greatness of the RedSox
3. 10 I hate having to wait to see the Sox destroy another teams pitcher.
4. Umpire Joe West spoke unfavorably about the Sox. He is dead to me now...
5. I am pleased with the acquisitions we made in the off season and look forward to the new players getting in their groove
6. Thus far into the season, the Yankees has not been producing, The Red Sox has been phenomenal, and the rest of the AL east needs to get off of the freaking DL so they can give the Sox some competition.
7. No I would rather they go to the locker room and polish their world series rings.
8. I went one year and loved and cheered for the Sox til I was horse.
9. I would ask Terry Francona how he became so epic.

1. Worse than expected. Red Sox
2. Cellar Dwellers
3. 10 unless Rick Dempsy goes out and slides on the tarp to entertain the crowd.
4. Human Error, it is going to happen.
5. Yep, Lackey came in a a Free Agent and not many people in the clubhouse were happy especially Mike Lowell. I guess they have accepted him so far.
6. Big Papi, Jason Heyward and Cliff Lee.
7. Absolutely! See #3 answer. LMAO
8. I live in the Fort Myers area where we have the Red Sox, Twins and Rays within 45 minutes of each other. Spring Training season ticket holder for the Red Sox. (A new Mini Fenway will be under construction soon)
9. Tito, when are you going to take Big Papi to a witch doctor and reverse the spell he is under?
BQ: Trolls will be Trolls.
PS I like the survey!

1. 4-5, 5-5 if we can win when the rain stops...
2. They are bound to get themselves a win. No postseason though.
3. 10! My god. It's 1 to 1, Red Sox and Rays, bottom of the 9th, Red Sox up. I want to see the end!
4. Red Sox and Yankees a "disgrace to baseball"? Shut up or get a new job, @$$hole.
5. We lost Bay and added Lackey, Cameron (hurt. sigh.), Hermida (love him! even as a 4th OFer!), Beltre (man. HATE him. Why go hurting Jacoby? Look before you sprint, dude!), Hall (bench player. not very good), and Scuatro (amazing. a few errors but better than recent short stops in the past 2 or 3 years).
6. Ortiz and JD, Dustin Pedroia, DiceK (as always)
7. Ha ha. Why not?! It's no fun being so serious >.<
8. Nah. No time to take the trip :*( Maybe another year.
9. I'd ask Francona which young Red Sox players could improve and become great, wellknown players? (Pedroia, Ellsbury, Bard, Youk, Lester, etc.)
BQ: They have nothing better to do. And so many regulars left! So sad :*(
