how do i start using more color in my makeup without looking fake?
hi. so my usual make up regimen usually consists of liquid eyeliner on the top with a peraly white shade on the lid...and then some black eyeshadow right under my bottem lashes with some pencil liner in the eye duct thing...idk wat you call that haha. and then mascara and usual powder and then chapstick. i want to add more colored eyeshadows into my make-up but im not quite sure how. my eyes are light bluish grey if that helps (:

Because you're so used to wearing the same colors, especially one color on your lid, i would start slow. Continue to use one color on your lid for now but change the color from a pearly white to different pastel. Lavender eyeshadow is really in right now. However, make sure you blend the color into your crease or the eyeshadow will have a harsh stopping point making your eyes actually look smaller. So, just remember to blend it out. if you're not into lavender, I have blue eyes as well and gold really makes them pop. Try using a nice gold on your lids (blending it out), and maybe try a different color liner. A lot of drugstore brand sell eyeliners that can look black, but are actually navy blue or dark purple. It gives a nice subtle color to your eyes. You could even use brown to soften up the harsh contrast of black and white. Good luck!!

i have grey eyes - sometimes green sometimes blue. and since its spring i wanted to start using more colors on my eyes as well:)
firstly, purple will make the grey in it really pop, or a silvery green.
What ive been doing is using this really pretty light pink blush that goes well my skin tone to give my face more color, and on my eyes, i have these really pretty light and a little sprkly eyeshadows that ive been using.
i take the light pink and put it right on top of my eye, just where youd put the liquid eyeliner but a little thicker then that, then i blend in a darker pink over it. then i put a really pretty light yellow by the end of my brows and in the inside corners of my eyes to make them pop. then some mascara and im done.

For the color you should use brown to bring out your eye color.
As for brighter makeup in general try starting out with subtle pops or brighter shades of lipstick/gloss or eyeshadow, but choose one so it wont be overdone.

Grays would look so amazing on you! For color, I was thinking maybe a dark teal to make your eyes pop. Look up MichellePhan's videos and she will have your answers.

go to a place like macys or sephora and get makeup color analyzed. most people look fake bc either they have the wrong colors on their skin or they have wayyy to much on. find a few colors that really compliment your skin tone, and dont make it cakey heavy. good luck
