STD? STD? STD? STD? STD?

Ok something has been bothering me greatly. I have a guy friend who is Straight and for a long time me and him have been making plans do....things.... and it was always his decision first. Each time this guy would blow me off though and make up some excuse as to why. But then he tells me that he don't like bi girls (which is what I am) because they might give him something. When I asked him about that again he said that bi girls can carry STDs (which I know) and are the most common because they do both sexes (which I think Is bullshit). But... Is this true?

Do people who date both sexes have a greater chance at catching a STD then people who only date one gender? (tthat'skinda my question)

I mean, I kinda think we all have the same chance at getting a STD depending on if you use protection or not. But could anyone direct me a web page that clearly states this is false or true so I could blow it up in this guys face. Umm...plz? anyone?

PSS. (wats up with that) .....I know this might be in the wrong section for this. I could have sworn there was a section for like.. gays and bis and trans and such but I cant find it, oh well, have a problem? screw my banana!

Did you know that most STD's are not transferred thru seminal or vaginal fluid?

They are transferred thru blood. The reason for spreading during sex is friction. No matter the lubrication, the friction causes miniscule tears in both the penis and vaginal walls, allowing the transfer of blood.

You are more likely to catch something from a bi man (more friction) than a bi female (less friction).

However, a straight man or woman who sleeps with 50 people a year is much more likely to catch something from a gay man or woman who sleeps with 5.

The first link is just a study abstract, it doesn't give the stats for straight women but I have seen the full article before [don't have it w/me sorry], the high end of their range is like 10%-11% infection rate compared to the 17ish% for bisexual women. Lesbians as a group get far less STDs than straight or bisexual women.

Basically if your friend is talking about women only, he's right. Bisexual women are way more likely to have an STD than other women. I don't think they get as many as gay or bisexual men but more than other women.

Also you are wrong that everyone has the same risk of STD infection no matter who they sleep with. Different groups of people have different rates of infection and also different levels of risky sexual behavior. Its all statistics/generalizations though, obviously not everyone falls into the 'stereotype' in terms of their individual behavior.
