if you cant feel at least a bit comfortable in your pointe shoes, you may want to consider getting a new pair. its never good to dance in uncomfortable pointe shoes all you will end up with is arch supports and blisters everywhere. But this time, try having a dance teacher or instructor help you find the right size of pointe shoes. if you dont want to spend more money for pointe shoes, try putting a tennis ball underneath the arch of your foot and put pressure on the tennis ball, then roll your foot around on it...it really helps.. also try taping your arch all the way around. it sounds silly, but it helps to support your feet when they are in pain. you only wear the tape though when you arent dancing. this normally helps for me. Hope this helps :)

last year i got surgery on my feet and my arches completely claposed. i had to get bolts in my feet to hold up the arches. now i'm on pointe. i have Gaynor Mindins they work really good. yet, they r $105. if your feet have stopped growing, its worth it.

You say that you have trouble because they don't fit well? You should change before you have an injury from them.
