Making a home web site?

Asking for some help, from the Answers community.

I had some friends ask me if there are some good, simple web site build programs you may know of ?

They have some home crafts they want to list and sell, and make a web site for them.

Any ideas are much appreciated !! :))

Thanks

You probably want a marketplace rather than just a simple website. Etsy.com is a great option for selling products on the web. You could also create an ebay store (different from ebay auctions) or sell products on amazon.com.

Creating your own ecommerce site from scratch isn't an easy process, and would cost you at least $3,000 to have professionally built.

Shopwurld is a rapidly growing national and international internet based business which serves as a unique income opportunity to its members. Shopwurld features an internet mall comprised of over 1,000 online popular name brand stores like Staples, Home Depot, Delta Airlines, the Apple Store, Sephoras, Toys R US and Ebay, just to name a few. When you join Shopwurld, you have the ability to earn a meaningful monthly residual income stream just by doing the same shopping that you already do AND by inviting others to join in on the fun. Your goal is to build your own personal network of online shoppers. For example, when you invite 5 people to join Shopwurld, they become part of your network and are considered network partners. Subsequently, if these 5 members each bring in 5 additional people, your network will then contain 25 network partners. And so on and so forth. From the power of friends telling friends, your personal network will grow virally and eventually will be made up of hundreds and thousands of other network partners. Each time one of your network partners makes an online purchase, you share revenue generated from such a purchase. And as your network continues to grow, so will your income opportunity. Joining Shopwurld is entirely free. There are no fees, start up costs, inventory, items to sell or financial risk! It won't increase your household budget by as much as one penny by becoming a member of Shopwurld. However, joining is through invite only. Therefore, simply insert my SWID# (shopwurld ID#) K2FXZN to become an instant member and start earning.

If you want a website which has members, messaging and communities, then go for wetpaint:

    http://www.wetpaint.com/

If you want a flash, swanky website with no members but plenty of display and animations, go for Wix:

    http://www.wix.com/

Both of these are free and VERY simple. (That doesn't mean you can't make a stunning website though!)

i have a tumblr and i like it very much. tumblr is a microblogging site, for small posts here and there. if you want a more large scale blog, i recommend wordpress.com, which is more for more formal, longer postings, as well as more text posts.

if you want a "website" website, for lack of better terminology, i recommend webs.com, but it will have a url like www.yourwebsitename.webs.com. most free websites will have this, but webs.com is very nice, and I like it.

    good luck!
