How to block unwanted mail messages?

I do not want to receive e-mail messages from some addresses which are currently in my address book. How shall I block those addresses on my Yahoo mail account?

Update:

Thank you! Unfortunately I cannot add the addresses because the system wants user@domain.COM when in my case the addresses have different endings not a "COM". One more thing, is it possible somehow to fix the unwanted addresses in a way to bounce the messages back to their senders as though my e-mail address is not working?

I do not know the answer. I assume that removing the addresses from the address book makes no difference. However, I also have problems with unwanted e-mail messages; from the States Up to a dozen a day arrive in the Spam Folder. I believe that responding to an invitation to be removed from the offender's mailing list merely serves to confirm that they have found an active mailbox and has no effect. Is there an answer? Go to Options > Mail Options > Spam category. The second listing is for 'Blocked Addresses'

'user@domain.com' is used as an example ... addresses that are valid domains, such as 'user@yahoo.co.uk' should be acceptable. (the e-mail gets delivered, doesn't it?)

Cover your bets ... first, mark the next such mail that you wish to block as SPAM before adding it to the Blocked Addresses list and also remove that address from your Address Book. One or two may slip through, but only into your Spam folder. (no, they won't be notified that you have blocked them)

Go to "options > mail/other options > spam". Add to the blocked address list. You should probably remove it from the address book or there may be a conflict.

Left click on 'messenger', then click on 'block sender' you can introduce certain words to block automatically, like 'Buy this now, only $29.95' And as soon as those words appear they'll be blocked! Have a nice day!
