Regarding telephones?

I've heard my neighbor on my phone while she was on a call, we both have portable phones, I dont want to hear her of course and dont want her to hear me, would using a landline phone, the kind with a cord work out better? Thanks!

    It maybe the cordless phones. Specially if you both happen to have the same phones. try changing channels on your cordless phone, if that is an option. It can also be a condition called cross talk, where induction causes your voice and her voice to be heard on the others line. Try using a corded phone, if you still hear her conversation; call in a report to telephone repair service.
