Looking for advice on which receiver to buy?
OK, I want to bus an amp / receiver / surround sound. I would like it to do the following:
Hook to the TV/DVD and to the already existing speakers to give surround sound
Hook to my CD player and computer so I can play music
Have at least 2 more sets of speakers which will be in different rooms, which I can switch on and off at will
Be not too expensive
Suggestions of brands would be great, actual models even better!!
Do those have multiple speaker options? i.e. can I have one set of speakers playing on my deck and those inside the house switched off or playing something different, e.g. tv feed?

Pioneer VSX-1019 or the Onkyo TX-SR607 receiver are the top choice. Go online to Home Theater Magazine and read the reviews on both receivers. Hope this will help you out.
