Need help from someone who knows War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy?
I have been told that this line is in War and Peace. I have read the book but it has been years. I do not have the time to go back and reread the book. I need to know where the line "War is the normal condition of man, peace is the exception." is. I do not think that is the line exactly but that is part of the reason I need to find it. If you can narrow it down to where it is as much as possible that would be a great help! Thanks!

Go onto Gutenberg.org, open a file containing War and Peace, click on Edit - Find and type in the part of the text you are looking for. It will search the text for you.
