What are the horse power differances between the Suzuki V Strom 650 and the V Strom 1000?
I want to trade my Bmw K1200 Lt for one of the V strom models. Im told the power of the 650 is close to the power of my k 1200. My k Model put out 100 hp at the rear wheel. Im also told that the 1000 V strom is doggy on the lower end of power. I cant decide which one I want. The Beemer is hitting my wallet to hard on maintnance. Thats why I want to switch.

V-Strom 650: 67hp at the rear wheels @7500rpm
V-Strom 1000: 98hp at the rear wheels @ 7500 rpm
Most likely its sluggish on the low end (the 1000) because of the weight difference in the bikes, since the 650 is 427lbs, and the 1000 comes in at almost 100lbs heavier at 525lbs.
