were there specific problems with the ford explorer trans?
it seams the 1995 and 1996 sharred the same trans but not before or after.? anyone know why? this is the automatic by the way

No, they didn't have any problems with the transmission, every few years ford, along with other car companies change the engines they put in their vehicals with newer ones, which also require a different transmission. from 91-94 they used different engines/transmissions then in 95, and so on.
