what is the part where the trunk latch, latches onto on a car?
I have a Chevy Cavalier. The part where the top part of the trunk is supposed to latch on to, what's that called? please help. Thank you.

you have the hood latch on the trunk and right above the license plate there is a hook. when you close the trunk the latch comes down and catches the hook.
