Why won't my trunk close?
I backed up into a wall a few days ago and now my trunk won't close. I know it doesn't because of this incident since before this it was perfectly fine. Anyway, it seems to me that the top part is not broken but maybe the part where it hooks on to got unaligned. But i'm not so sure. If anyone has an opinion on what it might be, or the price range on the repair, please let me know. Any tips on how I can try fixing it myself are welcome as well. Thank you in advance. :)

Sounds like the latch alignment.
Normally fixed easily with a slight adjustment.

take a flashlight, get in the trunk with a hammer and a laptop with wifi, close it and see if its aligned. if not, hammer it back in alignment until the trunk close. then ask another question about how to get out of a trunk if you're stuck and wait a response.

you probably sprung the trunk and messed up the latch. if it won,t latch use a bungee cord to hold it down.
