Legal or illegal idea?(i got jumped) good topic!!!!!!?

OK so i have been thinking on a plan on getting back on this one kid and i go a very good one but first let me tell you what happened.

one day, him and his brother jumped me out of a car and attacked me. They broke my glasses but i wasn't seriously hurt just shaken up and chose not to fight back (i regret not fighting back).

-The reason why is on another date i went for a ride with him (and his brother) to purchase marijuana illegally and he ran off with with my money! So his brother (still in the car) told me he would drop me off home.

NOTE:Let me make my self clear i was enrage and probably more angry then i have ever been in my life. and i was going threw a time of depression and obesity (i was fat).

So on our way back to my house i had i knife in my pocket and was thinking whether or not to slit his throat from the back seat.Being religious i did not....Instead i slit up the nice leather seats in his SUV later to find it to be their moms (LOL).

-One week later they called me on my cell and threatened to "send me to the hospital"

-Two weeks later i was jumped

HEARS MY PLAN AND QUESTION-------- Is it legal to challenge the one kid to a fight?

The conditions would be if i win he has to pay $500+ in court (under contract).

And if i lose (unlikely) i simply drop the charges and let him go free.

WHERE I AM NOW: I am no longer fat, work out every day, and starting MMA(mixed martial arts) classes by next year

WHAT YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND: I am the victim of a battery crime. And i don't what to hear "well you should of not smoked pot and...etc" The point is i trusted this kid and we where friends and in the position i am in there is no going back to friendship
