There are tons and tons of musical artists....from all decades, from all genres that get discovered all the time....Good for you!!!

I have found myself in the same boat. It is the same with music today, if it was not on the radio you probably never heard of them. I find that taking one of my favorite bands and searching for similar bands can dig up some older bands/ artists. To me, it's like a treasure hunt :) Have fun with your future music discoveries!

That is strange when Blue Cheer is one of the forerunners to heavy rock, one of my favorites bands from back in the day. I have all or most of all their music on vinyl.

Maybe you're too young or you listen to the wrong radio stations, lol.
I've been a fan since they covered "Summertime Blues" from their first album in 1968 which was played extensively on the radio back then.
Their first few albums are fantastic!
