Here's one my mom taught me from her culture that i think is completely ludicrous: when at someone's house for tea or coffee, drink it, but ALWAYS leave a little bit (about a sip) at the bottom of the cup. From what she said, this shows grace and courtesy to that person and their home, but methinks its pretty retarded!

the go with remains here! notwithstanding the policies have replaced slightly over the years. you could now the place brown and black at the same time, as nicely as blue and green. the person-friendly policies of politeness have not replaced, that is in simple terms that some forget relating to the policies of etiquette, or weren't in any respect taught. regrettably i might desire to believe 'byderule' on that human beings do not incorporate it regularly practise. we don't, the policies of etiquette have continually been taught interior the homestead, and there is way too many residences not coaching it! As for me... white after Easter, black after exertions day or after 5... notwithstanding I do positioned on the pearls interior the sunlight hours. ;-)

My wife was taught this by her very elderly aunt:

    No jewellery in the morning.

    One piece in the afternoon.

As much as you like in the evening.

You could wear a hat without gloves

But never gloves without a hat.

Recognise that huge gap between 'profession' and 'trade'

Were some of the gels at my wife's school from 'trade'? Inexcusable.

It went on and on - oh just one more I've recalled -

If you had parents, you would be educated at home

If you were poor, you went to school

    !!!!!!

The rule that says you can't wear white after Labor Day, or before Memorial Day.

I live in the South. It's hot. I'll wear white whenever I feel like it.

I wish wearing the wrong color was all I had to worry about.

I think it's stupid for your Southern relatives to expect you to be all formal and say "Yes Ma'am" and "No, Sir" to them as if you were a child or military subordinate, especially if you have already graduated high school.
