No idea who you might be thinking of, but Andrew Lloyd webber wrote Cats, Phantom of the Opera, Sunset boulevard, and a couple other things.

THAT is a RIDICULOUS QUESTION... there are,on average,about 75 NEW MUSICALS produced on Broadway EVERY YEAR.. so obviously NO ONE PERSON could write all the music for them.
