Looking for an old hippie-era song?
The vocals were done by a woman (sounds like Janis Joplin, but I'm not too sure now since I can't find the song under her name) and the beat of the song is a bit reminiscent of old western cowboy movies. Also the lyrics sound like the female vocalist is singing in protest of something.
It was Jefferson Airplane.
