How can I plasticize cards with a common list of things at home?

I want to make playing and tarot cards of my own for sale, suggestions?

PS don't tell me to do as with photos.

    acitone and packing peanuts melt the peanuts with the acitone untill you have a liquide about as thick as oil and brush it on the cards, but you have to work fast and do it out doors the fumes are explosive and very toxic.
