When to expect pain to go away from a bad blood draw?

I got a routine blood draw today and when she stuck the needle in, I got a shooting pain all the way down my forearm. I had intense pain for about 10 minutes and it seemed to go away. Now, about 8 hours later, it hurts when I move my arm a certain way. I keep reading about permanent nerve damage from blood draws and I'm really hoping that's not what this is. What are the chances that it will get better on its own and how long should it take?
