Where is my DVD driver?!!!!!!!!!!! Its totally missing!!!!?

I own a Toshiba Satellite U300 with a MATSHITA DVD RAM 852s,

I opened 'My Computer' and the DVD Drive which is usually named as 'DVD DRIVE: E' was missing. Then I checked my 'Hardware Manager' and searched for the DVD Drive and it specified it as 'uninstalled' or 'missing' or whatever it is. I couldnt find the driver on the net. I would be appreciated if u could specify me some download links where I can download it from.

The OS Im using is Windows 7 Ultimate........

Thanks..............:) PEACE v

Remove the DVD drive and re-seat it tight, then reboot.

The computer needs to see the physical drive before installing the driver will do any good.

Also, confirm in the BIOS that the DVD drive is enabled.

Boot to BIOS by pressing F2, F12, Esc or Delete during bootup.

If you can get the computer to see the drive, then you can go to the manufacture's website to download the driver. Usually Windows finds the DVD driver automatically.

Open the Device Manager, and look for the designation, "CD-ROM", click on the plus sign, next to it, it will then open a menu. Click on the device, and chose proprieties. You can then remove the driver, you then reboot, and windows will install the proper drivers from the firmware.

Are you sure it's plugged? (lol)

I guess it didn't have any kind of documentary with it?

I googled only the "MATSHITA DVD RAM 852s" part and found several sites referring to some kind of drivers.

As far as I can help you atm..
