I am in the California national guard, can I go into ROTC?

I would like to go to ROTC, but I am not 100% sure if this is possible or not. Please give me some insight on what I can do as far as the process and also if it's a good idea or go to college and then OCS. Thanks

    Yes you can.

There are some specific rules and considerations for doing this. You should contact the Army ROTC representative at your college, or if you're not in college yet do a web search on "Army ROTC" and you'll quickly find some points of contact to get in touch with.

Do not approach the regular Army recruiters on this issue as they are often less informed on ROTC and officer related issues.

Going the OCS route is also a great way to become an officer. I was enlisted for several years prior to being commissioned and I viewed my enlisted service as being invaluable to becoming a competent leader.

    Good Luck!
