Another Bread Recipe Question?

I have a braided white bread recipe. Like I posted before I need to dissolve yeast in cold milk. Will the bread be different if I dissolve it in warm water instead.

Hmmm , I just answered your last question , but this one , I have to question . I make several braided styles of bread , challah and stollen . I always use warm water or milk . You need it to rise quickly so you can punch down and roll out you cylinders to braid with . Then allow to rise again for baking .

No, it won't. In fact, every bread recipe I've ever seen has you dissolving the yeast in lukewarm water, never cold water or cold anything else. But make sure it's not too warm. Too warm, and it can kill the yeast. Too cold, and the yeast won't be warm enough to work very fast.

It won't make it tough. It'll make it more moist and more sticky. You may have to add a touch more flour if the banana has gotten far enough along that it's a lil watery inside. I'd also up the spices but a sprinkle each to make up for the extra "dough."
