    It is not possible to unlock baseband version 6.04. You have to wait till an 'unlocking' solution is available for this version. For more info read

    From the above url,

    -Tools to jailbreak iPhone OS 3.1.3 will most likely be released by Geohot before the end of the month.

    -It needs to be seen if Geohot’s tool will also unlock iPhone OS 3.1.3. Otherwise tools will be released only after the next generation iPhone is available.

    -It might be possible to jailbreak and unlock fourth generation iPhone.
