HDMI + Digital audio on 360...?

My family is going to upgrade our home theatre system, and we've hit a bit of a problem. Our plan was to run a HDMI cable from the 360 to the tv, but then realized that the TV doesn't have a digital audio (fiber optic) out port, and our speaker system wouldn't be able to work. Is it possible to plug the digital audio cable into the composite AV cable we have as well as having the HDMI cable in on the console? Thanks!

    No.

Use the HDMI for the video (XBox>>>HDTV), and optical for audio (XBox to A/V Receiver (aka home theatre)).

Or you could get a a/v receiver with hdmi inputs and an hdmi output because the hdmi carries uncompressed video and audio through one cable(so you only need one cable) this could also make your set a whole lot easier seeing how you only have 1 cable to your tv and you can get tru surround sound.
