is there a way i can receive a stronger wireless signal it's kind of week in my area and cuts out?

sometimes i get none at all

Update:

i should have said it's a compac laptop i have to sit it on the window sill to get anything is there some kind of reciver i can plug it to one of the usb ports

    With an antenna that has higher GAIN

    don't know what you have but you can go wireless N

    get adapter and try it out first.

    then they have extender antenas i don't know what they are called but give better range

    look on ebay.com
